In the workshop this week we had the unusual challenge of cutting an irregular mount for a drawing. This artwork was double-sided and so had to be framed with both the front and back exposed. With the skill of our team who worked out all the little curves, corners, and dinks, as the four sides of a drawing or painting are often not straight at all, they programmed our digital mount cutter to follow a close route around the piece.

The result was a quirky but beautifully accomplished double-sided frame.

The Gallery of Everything has acquired this piece, which will be shown in the Wallace Collection and curated by Grayson Perry.

So please do not worry if your artwork is a little compromised along the edges. There is always a solution to fix the overall finished look of a framed piece.
