Last night we went to the opening night of the Kehinde Wiley solo show called ‘Fragments from the treasure house of darkness’ at the Stepen Freidman Gallery.
Pendragon has worked with Kehinde many times before usually working on a much bigger scale.
This time the exquisite oil paintings which are almost minatures and so much smaller but the studio still wanted to retain the trademark big profile frames.
This took months of work to perfect the right balance between the two and creating the bespoke finish.
Every frame had many hours of hand sanding with layers of different finishes to create the beautiful, sleek and unique look and feel.
Keith really brought his 30 years of experience to the fore and along with his excellent team made the end result a great success!
